It should be noted that the current trend among telecom manufacturers is to increase the number of channels by reducing the channel spacing (50 GHz) for 2.5 Gb/s applications in the classic band, or by keeping the 100 GHz spacing to cover the extended band, thus targeting 10 Gb/s applications and beyond....
