5. Models of volume wave devices on thin films
As with surface waves, models specifically dedicated to volume wave resonators, and in particular those developed using piezoelectric thin films for high-frequency filtering, can be classified in ascending order of complexity. We propose here a presentation according to this order, starting with a simple but highly efficient one-dimensional model and ending with numerical methods combining finite elements and boundary integrals.
The principle of Mason's model, which has been published countless times but whose basic reference remains
