4. Two-quadrant chopper control modes
As we have seen, the two-quadrant reversible chopper behaves like a controllable voltage generator in relation to its active load. This mode of operation requires synchronized switching between step-down and step-up modes, depending on the sign of the motor current.
The practical implementation of this control is in fact quite simple by sending to the two transistors the complementary pulses described in figure
