3. Validation of the proposed theoretical approach by comparing theory and experience
The structure described in the insert to figure 11 has been realized.
A wafer of soft ferrite (saturation magnetization 4πMs=2800G, magnetocrystalline anisotropy field Ha=4Oe, half-height linewidth ΔH=450Oe, half-height effective linewidth ΔHeff=4Oe), is placed on the side of a rectangular X-band guide. An electromagnet is used to apply a constant static magnetic field of 4kOe along the Oz axis to saturate the ferrite.
