The desired structure is that of a direct AC-DC converter with :

• the input (respectively output) is connected to a three-phase, perfect sinusoidal AC voltage source, reversible in voltage and current;

• the output (respectively the input) is connected to a unidirectional source of direct current I_c perfect, voltage-reversible.

Both sources are assumed to be active and reversible in power.

The three-phase voltage source can be represented by a star or delta grouping of three bipolar voltage sources ( v_a1 , v_a2 , v_a3 ). Since the sources are assumed to be perfect, the two models are equivalent. Let's adopt, first of all, a star...
