The principle of microwave heating (also known as microwave or ultra-high-frequency heating) is identical to that of high-frequency heating, and is characterized by the absorption of electromagnetic radiation by the product to be heated. In microwave heating, however, the wavelength is much smaller than the dimensions of the system's equipment. The entire technology employed is therefore based on the propagation of electromagnetic waves and their properties.
