Although there are still only a few fields of application for direct-current meters, alternating-current meters are by far the most widespread and well-known, so that when we talk about electricity meters, everyone spontaneously thinks of alternating-current meters. This article takes a detailed look at this vast field, which is now divided into electromechanical and electronic meters.
