Reduce leakage rates and increase fluid recovery rates

To limit the risk of refrigerant leaks, the plant owner must :

• to take all necessary measures to prevent any risk of leakage of fluorinated fluids and to repair any leakage within four days;

• ensure responsibility for fluid recovery by a certified operator;

• ensure that all equipment is indelibly marked "contains fluorinated greenhouse gases covered by the Kyoto Protocol", the chemical name, the quantity of fluid in kg and in CO ₂ equivalent (Teq CO ₂ ) ;

• ensure that companies handling fluids hold a certificate of competence and have personnel with a certificate of aptitude;
