1.1 Fire
Fire is a self-sustaining exothermic chemical reaction involving a fuel and an oxidizer (very often oxygen from the air). It can only start if a minimum initial energy, the source of ignition, is provided. Fire is self-sustaining under the effect of the heat produced by combustion.

There are many possible sources of ignition.
