We will use the term "audit standard" here, restricting it to requirements contained in standards (or non-normative texts [because they are not always standards!] containing specified requirements).

• The most famous of these is, of course, the NF EN ISO 9001:2015 " Quality management systems – Requirements".

  Built around a structure that is now identical for all management system standards (the harmonized structure), it comprises 116 requirements divided into seven clauses (see Box 1).

• The "top 10" management system standards also include NF EN ISO 14001:2015 " Environmental management systems – Requirements and guidelines for use".

  Containing "only" 78 requirements in its Clause 4 (see Box 2), it adopts...
