4. CMS commissioning check
The inspection is carried out on equipment subject to declaration.
4.1 Entities authorized to create a CMS
For steam generators and devices with removable CAFR quick-closing lids, a CMS is carried out by an authorized body. The request must be made by the operator. For other equipment, the inspection is carried out by a competent person appointed by the operator.
Pressure equipment that has undergone a major intervention undergoes a new conformity assessment and is treated as new equipment.
This check should be carried out once the equipment has been installed and is ready for use.
