7. Periodic requalification
The purpose of periodic requalification is to establish, at regular
intervals, that a piece of equipment is fit for safe operation, taking
into account any foreseeable deterioration, until the next inspection
date or until it is taken out of service, provided that the equipment
is operated in accordance with the instruction manual or, failing
this, the operating file.
Requests must be made by the operator, and requalification operations
are carried out by an expert from an authorized body or a recognized
inspection department authorized for this purpose.
If the presence of the authorized body's expert is required during
the hydraulic test (when this is required), it is accepted that requalification
inspection operations and verification of safety accessories may be
carried out under his supervision...
