The ONERA M6 wing (figure

) was designed by Bernard Monnerie and his colleagues in 1972, within the framework of cooperation within AGARD (Advisory Group for Aerospace Research and Development), to provide experimental support for three-dimensional flow studies at transonic speeds and high Reynolds numbers, and for the validation of numerical flow simulations (conditions representative of real military and civil aircraft flights). It has a symmetrical profile and its dimensions are shown in figure
