Harnessing mycorrhizal fungi for a sustainable forest

For over a century, the study of mycorrhizal symbiosis has been based on the simplistic idea of a beneficial association between a plant and a fungus alone. Current field research, however, reveals that these mutualistic associations establish multiple interactions involving several partners.
