. It is a high-volume industrial product. Worldwide production of hydrogen peroxide currently stands at three million tonnes. It is growing by 4% a year. Applications include pulp bleaching, water treatment, disinfection and sterilization. Its applications in the chemical industry are numerous, and its transformation into by-products such as sodium percarbonate is also under development.
