Although currently under scrutiny due to the limits of our technological and industrial knowledge, nanomaterials enable the development of new products, processes and applications that can have a substantial impact on environmental and climate protection. Nanomaterials save raw materials, energy and water, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions and toxic waste compared with more conventional materials.
