3. Graphene shapes and production processes
When we talk about graphene from a commercial and industrial perspective, we've seen from the various examples of applications that it's a family of materials ranging from carbon monolayers to materials composed of very many layers and known as graphene nanoplatelets (GNPs). This family also includes more or less oxidized forms such as graphene oxides (GO) and reduced graphene oxides (rGO).
This material comes in a variety of forms, including powders, metal plate attachments, pastes and dispersions. An initial classification of graphene shapes can be made by the number of layers, as shown in figure
