Dynamic light scattering (DLS)
A technique for characterizing nanoparticles in suspension based on the analysis of their Brownian motion. It allows for the estimation of the hydrodynamic diameter of the particles and the particle size distribution.
Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS)
A technique for analyzing trace elements based on their ionization in an argon plasma, followed by separation according to their mass-to-charge ratio.
Single-particle inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (spICP-MS)
An ICP-MS analysis mode based on the individual detection of nanoparticles containing one or more elements measurable by ICP-MS. The intensity and number of pulses allow for the determination of their size, number concentration, and size distribution.
Electron microscopy techniques (TEM and SEM)
A set of high-resolution imaging techniques...
