7. Assess severity, occurrence and detection
During this stage, we will use the various information proposed (failure modes, effects, means of prevention, etc.) and weight them according to a scoring grid of the three characteristics. For the record, these elements are explained in the Understanding FMECA sheet
This is probably the least complicated and time-consuming phase, since all you have to do is take the characteristics and cross-reference them with the notes on the grids.
