Once the costs of non-quality have been identified and quantified, the next step is to identify the causes of these non-qualities, and to identify possible solutions for eliminating these causes or reducing their effects. We also need to estimate the resources required to investigate the origin of these causes, and define and implement the solutions that would eliminate them. All this must be done through consultation and discussion with the most qualified and competent people in each field.
