Hot-air welding of thermoplastics with external material input

Every time you change nozzles, material batches or working conditions (site, workshop, summer or winter, etc.), check the heating temperature of your appliance.

Proceed as follows:

• bring the nozzle close to the material without contact (approx. 5 mm gap),

• Observe: the material must melt (shiny appearance) without deforming under the air flow (wave), without changing state (liquid), without strong odor, and without changing color (no degradation),

• check the quality of the material's deformation on contact,

• change the temperature setting downwards or upwards if necessary,

• change ventilation settings as a last resort, if necessary.
