How do you classify risks?
How do you summarize risks at program or company level?

The impact scales used on projects are generally based on the following impact categories:

• Costs ;

• planning ;

• performance ;

• the image of the project or company;

• social.

On this basis, more or less quantitative criteria are defined.

For example, a risk will be classified as level 3 out of 5 in terms of costs if its impact is between 10% and 20% of sales.

The overall risk impact corresponds to the maximum value of all impacts.

For many risks, this classification is perfectly relevant.
