In all areas, modern distribution requires a packaging concept that guarantees safety and simultaneously saves money by ensuring that packaged products are properly preserved.
The use of gas to create a protective atmosphere (CO2, N2, N2O, Ar, He, or even O2) prevented the product from being crushed by the vacuum, and the specific properties of the gas had a beneficial effect in preventing the growth of unwanted flora.
"Active" packaging absorbs residual oxygen, develops specific aromas, and even preservatives, thereby improving the shelf life.
Color indicators show through color changes: an expired use-by date, non-compliance with temperature requirements, or an abnormal oxygen percentage.
