In B-to-C business, we generally speak of a generic market, sometimes managed by one of the company's business units.
In the B-to-B sector, the customer may be unique, and when he remains the owner of the production equipment, it may be contractual for him to approve the monitoring plan.
The customer may also be an in-house workshop or factory supplying components or sub-assemblies to another workshop or factory.
