8. Apply and evaluate results
Place the proposals in an action plan, with a deadline and a person responsible for each action. Regularly check that design or redesign work incorporates the proposed improvements.
If this is not the case, or if there are problems with integration, don't hesitate to bring the group back together and repeat the analysis. Always update the analysis in line with the difficulties encountered.
It's impossible to give an average, but it's common to see gains of 10-20% in redesign value analysis operations, without any degradation in performance.
We have also seen significant gains in the number of parts (or references), of 15 to 30%, which is an indicator of simplification and a guarantee of indirect savings (logistics, storage, etc.), as well as reliability.
