1. Represent management in quality management matters
ISO 9001, since its 2015 version, reinforces the requirement for management involvement and leadership of the quality management system. However, there is nothing to prevent management from delegating the tasks and activities needed to exercise this leadership to different functions, including the quality manager.
The quality manager, usually regarded as management's representative for quality, assists management in its overall responsibility, accepting the mission to achieve the following results:
that the QMS complies with the requirements of ISO 9001 ;
that processes deliver the expected results;
QMS performance is evaluated and shared, in particular with management, in order to identify needs or opportunities for improvement;
