INTRODUCTION
You're faced with a problem and looking to solve it, but you're reluctant to initiate the 8D approach (Ford Motor Company are the originators of the – 1987 method), and you're right! While the approach is effective, you need to be aware that it also requires skilled resources in the method itself and in the field(s) concerned by the problem. For these reasons, it should be reserved for certain types of problem. Before going into detail about the 8 disciplines (8 Do ) that need to be completed in order to see the results of the method, it is important to check the eligibility of the problem encountered.
