4. Resolving contradictions
When stating "future" features, start by considering each line as an independent development, even if it appears at first sight to be questionable or inconsistent with the overall development. Only then will you choose to dismiss the unacceptable (you have the right to do so!), or to state the inconsistencies of the whole. These inconsistencies are called contradictions (see Using the matrix to resolve technical contradictions

). Resolving them is a good way to innovate.
