One of the most promising technologies of the 21st century, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is emerging as a major technological revolution, transforming sectors as diverse as scientific research, medicine and healthcare, industry and agriculture, commerce and finance, education... and artistic creation: almost the entire spectrum of human activities can make use of artificial intelligence! , we respectively presented the principles of certain artificial intelligence techniques and gave examples to illustrate the variety of its applications.
The rapid development of AI does, however, raise complex challenges that can limit its uses today. Among the most important issues are understanding the algorithms that artificial intelligence implements, the environmental impact of the infrastructures it mobilizes for data storage or computing operations, data reliability and security, and the ethical questions raised by these new uses. This article, which complements the two previously cited, succinctly explores the main reliability issues associated with the use of artificial intelligence, as well as some current research avenues for overcoming certain limitations.
