I noticed an error in my patent application. Is it possible to correct it?

Once a patent application has been filed, the correction of errors is strictly regulated. It depends on the error and the nature of the correction to be made.

Until the fee for issuing and printing the fascicle has been paid, the applicant may submit a request for rectification by paying a fee ( article R.612-36 du CPI ).

However, correction is not automatic and can only be made in limited cases. For example, errors of form are accepted: typos, blatant contradictions, truncated sentences, drawing reference errors, etc.
