3. Identify and measure program KPIs
Choose the KPIs that best match your approach: results indicators, means indicators or a mix of both. This will depend on your expectations of your intrapreneurial organization.
For example, if your structure welcomes intrapreneurs with coaches to guide them in their explorations, then the indicators will be more related to the provision of resources. If, on the other hand, your program includes sourcing, maturation, incubation and scale-up, the latter two in an adapted structure, then results indicators can be envisaged.
However, don't forget that the aim of these organizations is to lead explorations that are risky adventures. You want to succeed quickly if at all possible, but you also want to stop an exploration quickly if it turns out to be unsuccessful. In fact, the second case is likely to be the most common.
