There are many different ways of financing innovation, so it's essential to first understand the different types of financing available, in order to identify and choose the ones best suited to the characteristics of the innovation project the company is planning.

Each country has its own specific set of mechanisms. We'll look at the case of France, which offers a wide range of financing instruments, bearing in mind that other countries have more or less similar systems and allocation criteria.
