Curiosity is an excellent trait, and not a bad one. You can gather a lot of information on different occasions:
trade shows, fairs ;
company visits and appointments ;
transport, stations, restaurants, bars ;
travel abroad (for example, many companies have found their business model in faraway places, like supermarkets that visited the United States 40 years ago).
