Isn't a return to paper-and-pencil reporting an outdated method?

Of course not. First of all, note-taking (even on toilet paper, as in the example of the Japanese visit to the classified "defence secret" company) has only one purpose: to help our short-term memory, unfortunately limited to more or less seven retained items and 30 seconds. Beyond that, the idea is lost forever. The "paper and pencil" method, on the other hand, requires no energy source, and can be used anywhere and in any weather. It's a reflex that needs to be developed to help circulate the right information in real time.
