ABSTRACT
The virtual portable office currently enables users to access all their personal data on any computer to which they are connected with the help of a storage device. This article deals with this concept of a virtual portable office on USB key (USB flash drive) on the Microsoft Windows® operating system in its two different approaches. This article also presents the safety functions and rules of use guaranteeing data accessibility and confidentiality. It therefore reviews the various software and necessary applications such as antivirus verifications.

INTRODUCTION
The concept of a virtual office on a USB key is to be able to take your favorite software with you on an inexpensive, easily transportable device, so that you can find all your personal data, favorites and e-mails, whatever computer you're connected to.
For the sake of simplicity, and to make this dossier accessible to a security-conscious but uninformed public, we'll be looking at the problems of virtual desktops on USB sticks in Microsoft Windows environments. Particular attention will be paid to the security issues associated with these solutions, which are more suited to home users than to large-scale enterprises.
