ABSTRACT

Writing and its learning involve linguistic, cognitive, biophysical and motor processes. The current scientific advances allow for the understanding of learning issues from a different perspective. The usage of computer controlled haptic devices contribute to improving the fluidity of writing for both children and adults. These interfaces are also an alternative to current particularly costly learning methods. This article deals with the issue of the learning of writing through the study of cognitive psychology and haptic devices. This phenomenon is also considered under its scientific angle with an assessment of its contributions and applications.
