One might think that the large number of cores is what primarily characterizes manycore architectures. In fact, the structure and complexity of the cores must also be taken into account.
Graphics processing units (GPUs) have a large number of cores, many more than multicore processors, with the exception of the Celebras circuit presented in § 6.2
