INTRODUCTION
A part intended to be manufactured in a foundry must be designed taking into account the rules and constraints specific to this technique, the processes employed, as well as the means of manufacture and the alloys envisaged.
The design and specifications for the part must be drawn up jointly by the design office, the foundryman and the modeler, with the participation of the machinist and the user, in order to guarantee quality manufacturing at the best possible cost price. We can then establish :
mold study ;
drawing of blanks ;
preparatory studies for manufacturing (instruction sheets, ranges, etc.);
design and execution of tooling.
These studies will then be used to produce the first prototype parts, and, after fine-tuning, to launch pre-series and production.
