INTRODUCTION
Cold forging (or extrusion) has already been described in a previous article.

Setting up a forging range involves determining the geometry of the various operations and designing and building the tooling.
Simulation reduces the number of actual tests, and cuts development times for new ranges.
Extrusion of a part can be conceived either in the case of a new part that needs to be produced at lower cost, or for which functional problems need to be solved, or in the case of an existing part whose manufacturing method needs to be changed for the same reasons as above.
Examples will be given for each of these two cases.
