Laser selective surface metallization

A particular feature of laser-assisted metallization techniques is the use of laser technology in one or more of the steps involved. This makes it possible to improve surface treatment during preparation, or to activate compounds embedded in the substrate to be treated. What's more, the very high spatial control associated with this type of technology is fully compatible with the needs of selective surface metallization (table 9 ).
