5. Assembly
Stainless steels are supplied in the form of semi-finished products. These are mainly flat products (coils, strips, sheets), long products (bars, wires), tubes and cast or forged parts. These semi-finished products are then cut, shaped and assembled by users ( , § 1.3 Main areas of use). Assembly is one of the major components of the implementation process.
