10. Manufacture of engineered parquet

shows the construction of engineered parquet, which also includes laminate flooring.
Here again, the principle is to combine several layers:
a surface layer of real wood strips, which provides decor, resistance to walking and wear and tear;
a thicker inner layer of inexpensive chipboard;
and an underlay to counterbalance, so that the floorboards don't warp with variations in temperature and humidity.
Inexpensive laminate flooring is simply covered on the visible side with melamine décor paper.
