2. Corrosion in acid gas treatment units

Throughout the petroleum chain, treatment stages aim to eliminate the two acid gases carbon dioxide and dihydrogen sulfide. As soon as the gas leaves the well, treatments are frequently used to separate CO 2 and H 2 S from the natural gas. At the other end of the chain, refinery gases must also be purified of these acid gases. Finally, these treatments are also gaining increasing momentum for the post-combustion capture of CO 2 from flue gases as part of the fight against greenhouse gas emissions through CO 2 capture and storage.
