1. Advantages of water over nitrogen
There are two reasons for replacing nitrogen with water for injection: the first is purely economic, the second more technical.
Unlike nitrogen, which has disastrous heat exchange properties, water easily evacuates joules by conduction. As a result, we can expect to see a significant reduction in cycle times. In practice, on certain parts, we have been able to achieve a 50% reduction compared with gas-assisted injection.
