2. Voltammetry on modified electrodes
The development of numerous works on the modification of the indicator electrode surface by the formation of thin films of conductive (or non-conductive) polymer containing electroactive substances, leading to what is commonly referred to as a modified electrode, has grown considerably over the last thirty years. The aim of such an approach is to respond to a range of concerns, some of which have emerged as new in electrochemistry. The main ones are as follows:
study the electrochemical properties of compounds fixed to the surface of an electrode, and in particular provide an electrochemical method for studying insoluble compounds;
control the structure of the electrode/solution interface to influence the efficiency and selectivity of the electrochemical reaction;
