8. Examples and feedback

As a professional engineer, laboratory manager or consultant, you may be confronted with a situation where you fail to observe the rules of use explained in this article. The resulting consequences are outlined and illustrated below in the order of the chapters.

8.1 Serial mode voltage

  • The first example is very telling. In preparation for an acquisition, we tested some very stable DC voltage generators for inclusion in our resistor bridges. One of the characteristics of these bridges is that their balance deteriorates as the frequency of the applied signal increases. Thus, a high-frequency serial-mode signal is barely attenuated at the bridge's detector input.
