1. Skid resistance test on aeronautical pavements
The coefficient of longitudinal friction (CFL) of an aeronautical pavement depends on its surface condition and the speed at which the aircraft is operating. The value of this coefficient lies between 0 and 1. A value close to 0 means that there is very little grip between the tire and the pavement surface, while a value close to 1 indicates very good grip. To enable aircraft to operate safely, the road surface must not have a low CFL value.
