6. Tests and results
Making measurements on a prototype is a challenge in itself: they need to be made with near-micrometer precision and at an acquisition frequency higher than the speed at which the wings are actuated, in order to track their evolution over time.
In order to accurately analyze the spatial movement of our prototype wings and characterize the induced phenomena, several test rigs were developed. The main tool used during this work was the high-speed camera.
