 INTRODUCTION

The first part (article ) described the principles and basic equations of a zerodimensional modeling approach, without making any particular assumptions about evolutionary submodels such as wall heat transfer. This second section gives a non-exhaustive presentation of the evolution submodels most widely used in the literature. It should be noted here, mainly in the case of combustion models, that we'll be sticking to access modeling for spark-ignition engines (2)(3)(4) .

Let's return to the general equations described in the previous article . The system of equations (5) and (6) is an open system. Solving the problem requires the introduction of closure equations, phenomenological laws or special models. A minimum of five sub-models is required:

  • a kinematic model describing the chamber volume ( dV );

  • a combustion model defining dmuR=dmbR ;

  • a turbulence model ;

  • a wall exchange model dQparois ...
