2. Shielded electrode welding

2.1 Process description

Shielded metal arc welding (SAEE), also known as manual arc welding, is a very simple process, illustrated in figure 12 .

The equipment comprises a DC or AC power source, an electrode clamp and the electrode itself, a connecting cable and a ground cable.
